Are
you ready for the next level of creativity?
Background:
For a quarter of a century, Destination ImagiNation has worked to help millions of DI participants throughout the world understand the process associated with creativity and innovation. We have molded generations of problem solvers into realizing the importance of teamwork, problem solving and creativity. Our team members have gone on to develop patents, design neurological techniques used in brain surgery, sit as staff in agencies within the United States government , even become movie stars- like Zac Ephron, from Disney’s High School Musical and Hairspray- just to name a very few of our success stories.
Destination ImagiNation is not just a program for kids, but one that builds leadership and life skills that can help shape futures. The ability to think critically, to be creative and successfully work as part of a team represents the foundations upon which innovation is built. We believe that with those strong foundations, DI kids will construct successful futures and can make a difference in the world in which we live.
Event Details:
This Destination ImagiNation, Inc. event is a team experience for older students which will require them to test their limits! With minimal time and limited resources, DI eXtreme™ teams must solve a heavy task-based challenge with a dash of performance pizzazz, utilizing their divergent-thinking, technical, math, and performance skills. An added twist is that just when they think they have their solution finalized, there will be a "DIsruption" and something will be added or taken away from what they have already produced. Each team member brings their unique assets and background to the team effort!
Where Can I DO eXtreme?
eXtreme events take place around the country during the year- check out http://www.illinoisdestinationimagination.org/Chicago-Science-in-the-City/index.html for details about a Tournament in October in CHICAGO, IL.
The biggest event of them all, though, hands down, is GLOBAL FINALS! Globals is where not one...not two...but THREE versions of eXtreme are offered, one for every day (and night!) of the competitive tournament! Check back here for more information about registration, later in the year, or write to the UL Coordinator.
