Weds, May 22nd
A mixer was held at Strong dorm following Opening Ceremonies. We had a large crowd and enjoyed the opportunity to meet the other teams and to exchange email address and talk about the upcoming week. We also had sign-up sheets for the Improv Fiesta and for the UL Info Booth at University Center.
Thursday, May 23rd
Improv Fiesta II- Presidential Court Plaza
University Level co-sponsored this event with Secondary teams from WA, MN, and TX. Our venue was the Performance one and we had over 50 teams sign up to participate! Emcees for the Event were Ryan Huber from Vesani Pulli/Rhodes and Bryan Buckley from Clemson. Special thank yous go to backup support from DI Officials :Reggie Bunis, Tom and Marcia Bleck, Elaine House and our Stage Mgr, Diana Dignan. Volunteers to run the event were all from the UL and they received a commemorative pin from Lasting Impressions (WA) for their help. We had over 3,000 people in attendance and the event was a great success!
Friday May 24th
University Level Annual Meeting - We had about 40 students in attendance and many issues and concerns were posed in addition to many positives! Members of the UL "New Challenge" group were also there and addressed some of the areas they wanted input on and passed out a survey to help with their work. Much brainstorming was done and many of the thoughts have been passed on to the Bo T. Minutes were taken by Ernie Chang and will be published soon to this site and placed in the files at the Advisory List Group.

Within these memberships, many other colleges or universities are represented by the individual team members. We have students from Vanderbilt Univ (TN), College of Charleston (SC), Ole Miss (MS), University of North Texas (TX), Dallas Baptist University (TX) and Cedarville U (OH), for instance. These team members also reside in many cases in states other than where their school is located so many other affiliates may be represented by these teams as well. University Level is a unique experience!
Last year, college teams from Central Michigan University, MI, Central Wyoming College, WY, Clarkson University, NY, Eastern Michigan University, MI, Fresno State College, CA, Keene State College, NH, Sierra Nevada College, NV, University of Texas at Dallas, TX, University of IL/ IL Wesleyan/ Millikin University, IL and Wilmington College, OH participated in the five Challenges: Mystery Loves Company, Triplicity, Anonymously Yours, DInamic Improv and IncreDIble Effects.
This year teams competed in the 01/02 challenges It's Your Move, Dual DI-lemma, StranDI-d, On Holiday and The Art of Improv. During the year, our university memberships not only worked to create their unique team solutions, but many were also active in other ways such as planning and hosting an Instant Challenge Day for their local region, working as appraisers at tournaments, helping with younger teams, serving on DI national committees and projects, and generally supporting their affiliates around the globe in whatever way they can!
University Level Advisory Board
We need at least one representative from each registered membership. We will communicate electronically to plan activities and events for Globals and to share input with DI about our level.
University Level DI is growing and changing to meet its members needs!
