Destination Imagination is a creative, team-focused, STEAM competition for K-12 and university students.
Student-led,
personalized learning
Kids work in teams where all voices matter
Competitive
Reinforces what kids
learn in class
Whether you’re a parent, educator, or volunteer who works with young people, you want nothing but the best for your kids. After a year with so many uncertainties, you and your kids are ready to rebuild the social interaction and skill-building that needed to be put on pause.
DI offers an experience, through which—as one parent told us—kids find their superpowers. Working in teams to solve STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) Challenges, quiet children come alive. Kids who like things their way realize how much better their ideas are with input from their teammates. And if your child hasn’t found his or her niche yet? No problem. DI introduces kids to a wide range of ideas, skills, and techniques while solving Challenges their way.
Parents, get your
child involved.
Educators,

Our STEAM-based Challenges are designed to prepare kids for the future of work by instilling these skills:
Problem-solving
STEAM-based challenges that students solve in teams.
Creativity
Kids blossom developing ideas that build on what they learn in school.
Communication
Each student has a voice and space to develop unique abilities and talents.
Collaboration
Team members make all the decisions and even manage the budget.
DI is an international problem-solving competition for students of all ages. Our student-led STEAM-based Challenges reinforce core social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies—social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making, self-awareness, and self-management.
These projects can be incorporated into distance learning, but are also a great way to bring kids together after a long time apart. DI offers an inclusive learning environment where all students feel welcomed and valued.
