April 7, 2010-Cherry Hill, New Jersey-Destination ImagiNation is getting into the celebration spirit early as it counts down to its final event called Global Finals, which runs May 26-29, 2010 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.  Global Finals brings together 16,000 participants from across all states and more than 38 countries for teams to showcase their solutions to Destination ImagiNation’s Challenges. The event is also an opportunity for Destination ImagiNation to recognize and celebrate their sponsors, partners and exhibitors.

“The Destination ImagiNation community of students, parents, volunteers and educators helps conduct our exhilarating program year after year. However, without the support of our sponsors and partners, we would not be able to continue to deliver our program to our dedicated participants,” said Rusty McCarty, COO and Creative Director for Destination ImagiNation. “Leading up to Global Finals, we will be publicly thanking and showcasing the work we’ve done together that has made Destination ImagiNation the premier educational program it is today.”

Sponsors such as the National Dairy Council, 3M, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Volvo Construction have turned to Destination ImagiNation for custom programming and support. As a content expert in creative problem solving, Destination ImagiNation has adopted its unique Challenge program to address issues from workforce development to youth health. In return, Destination ImagiNation’s sponsors help the organization meet its operational needs to serve its 35,000 volunteers and more than 75,000 program participants.

“For many years, we have developed strong relationships with key companies  and organizations that view Destination ImagiNation as a vital program for preparing our youth for the world. Sponsors such as the National Dairy Council and 3M have been supporting Destination ImagiNation for 11years, and we want to thank them and all of our sponsors and partners for helping us grow,” said Chuck Cadle, CEO for Destination ImagiNation.

The 2010 Global Finals will include events created to showcase Destination ImagiNation’s sponsors and partners. The National Dairy Council, AEM/Volvo and 3M will have exhibits that give attendees a first-hand experience of their products and services.
