Send us your Solution to the following DISC Challenge

  1. Challenge:  In a creative way, convey to the appraisers one asset or attribute about yourself that was gained or enhanced through participation in Destination ImagiNation® programs.   You must submit an electronic copy of your essay
  2. Time:  Your application, solution and any supporting materials must be received by January 15, 2008..

  3. The Scene:    Examples of Presentation topics include (but are not limited to):  Team Manager or Team Member training, Appraiser Training and DI Program Introduction

  4. Materials:  The choice of tools is not limited and can include tools and/or systems developed by the Applicant.  Applicants should advise the Committee of any tools or parts of the Presentation that were Applicant developed.

  5. Scoring:  You will receive
    A.  Points for creativity
    B.  Points for Relevancy
    C.  Points for Creative Problem Solving Participation
    D.  Points for correct grammar and spelling (you ARE going to college after all)

  6. Clarifications:  Applicant will provide a Presentation that can be viewed electronically that has value to some aspect of Destination ImagiNation Program enhancement. Some examples of this could be Presentations for Team Manager or Team member training, Appraiser training and DI Program Introduction, but are not limited to those areas.  The choice of tools is the choice of the Applicant and can include tools and systems developed by the Applicant  Please advise the Committee of any tools or parts of the Presentation that were Applicant developed.  Presentation should be under 10 MB. 

Provide the following Supporting Information

  1. Two letters of endorsement.  One shall be from a team manager or other adult involved in DI (e.g., school coordinator, or regional director). The other may be from a person of your choice (e.g., school administrator, educator, guidance counselor, clergy, community leader, or teammate). Letters can be on paper, but an electronic format is also required – this may be in the form of a scanned copy of a printed letter or an email from the endorser.  Letters should be one page (double spaced). Letters of endorsement should accompany the applicant's completed application.  Email submissions should be from the endorser's own account to:  ScholarshipChairs@idodi.org

  2. Photograph (in digital form):  Submit via email to:  ScholarshipChairs@idodi.org.  File size should not exceed 400K.  The photographs are not used in the review process but will be used for publicity purposes once awards are made.

  3. Original signed copy of Application form.  If you emailed an electronic copy of the application (or completed the online application) you must mail an original signed copy of the application or online application confirmation page.   A scanned version of the signed form must also be submitted electronically.
