Connecting The Standards

Have you ever wondered how our Challenges meet the needs of education?  Have you wondered which subjects are the major focuses for each Challenge?

Each year Destination ImagiNation® connects all of our Challenges to the US national educational learning standards. We list each of the learning standards under each major category then compare these to each of our Challenges. By looking at the tables, one can assess which particular standards and benchmarks are addressed by each Challenge.

Team Managers, show these learning standard tables to your team. When team members analyze the tables, they become aware of the standards that are addressed for each Challenge. They see the connection between the learning standards and their actual Challenge solution.

Standards that are addressed are:

Life Work, Thinking and Reasoning, Working with Others, Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking, Mathematics, Geography, History, Historical Understanding, Science, Health, Music, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts, Art Connection, Physical Education, Behavioral Studies,  Self Regulating and Technology.
